Online Surveys which Pay Cash

Have you ever wondered how a survey company’s payouts really work? Here on SurveyCompare, many of our top panels offer cash payments for completed surveys. But what does that really mean? How can you access the money you have earned?

Canadian cash

Below is a detailed guide to getting paid from each panel which offers cash to its members. We will examine the option of receiving a cash payment and the steps you will need to take to qualify for and receive your money.

MySurvey

MySurvey is one of Canada’s largest online public opinion companies. They use a rewards point system to track and allocate the money earned by participants.

As a member, each survey you complete with MySurvey, will earn you anywhere from 5 to 200 rewards points. You will also earn rewards points for referring new eligible members to the panel. On occasion, you may qualify to participate in other research activities such as focus groups or product tests.

As a member, you can view your current rewards points on your MySurvey Points Account. Some points will show in your account a few seconds after earning them, such as after a survey. Others, such as for a referral, may take a few days since all new members must be approved and must complete the questionnaire that comes with their welcome email.

In order to receive a payment from MySurvey, you must have accumulated at least 1,000 rewards points, which has a value of $10. If you wish to cash out, you must go to the My Rewards section of your account and choose Redeem. You will then be able to see your prize options by category.
MySurvey’s cash payments are done through PayPal. By choosing to receive a payment, they will send the corresponding amount to your PayPal account. They do not send cheques or cash. You cannot cash out until you have at least 1,000 points accumulated.

Global Test Market

Another panel that has a cash option is Global Test Market. They use MarketPoints to track your earnings. Each point you earn is worth 5 cents. You must accumulate 1,000 points, or a value of $50, before you are allowed to cash out.

Market points do have an expiry date. They are valid for 3 years from the day they are awarded. If your account has no activity for 12 months, your MarketPoints will also expire.

To redeem your MarketPoints, login to your account and choose Rewards. You can they click on Redeem which will allow you to request your payment.

Global Test Market’s payments are sent by cheque. In Canada, expect a delay of 6 to 8 weeks to receive your cheque in the mail. It’s important to make sure your name is spelled correctly and your address is accurate in order to receive your payment.

Toluna

Like the previous two panels, Toluna also uses a point based system to track earnings on their site. In order to receive a payment from this company, you must accumulate a minimum of 60,000 points which has a value of $20.

As a member, you earn points by completing surveys, sponsored polls, filling out your profile surveys and referring new members. If not redeemed, points expire 12 months after receiving them.

Once you have accumulated $20 worth of points, you may login to your account, click on Rewards Centre and choose your reward. With Toluna, your payment will be deposited into your PayPal account. Click on Learn More under a reward to see all of the details.

IPSOS i-Say

One of the largest public opinion companies in the world, Ipsos i-Say, is another option for Canadians looking to earn cash rewards. With their system, members earn points for completing surveys. They are valued at $1 per 100 points.

Most points you earn with Ipsos i-Say are deposited into your account within a few minutes of completing a survey. With some of the more complex or two-part surveys, it may take several days to receive your points.

Once you have accumulated the minimum payout of 1,000 points or $10, you may login to your account and choose Browse Catalogue under the Rewards menu. You will be able to select the reward you wish to receive. For cash payments, Ipsos i-Say will send money to your PayPal account.
